There's a module for that!

When you submit a quote request, please try to describe your requirement as clearly as possible, preferably with examples of similar existing implementations. Also note that I usually include the following terms and conditions in my quote:

• If the outcome of the work is a self-contained module, I would like to retain the option to publish this module on Drupal.org, crediting you for its sponsorship. The published module would be licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2, as with all other modules on Drupal.org.
• I would also like to retain the option to write an article about the work on this present site.
